APPRENTICE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Mike Fair Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac is currently looking for an entry level Apprentice Technician to join our dynamic team in the service department.

Responsibilities:

• Perform services based on general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform the tasks described in the repair orders efficiently and accurately.
• Contact the shop manager and/or service advisors if additional work is required.
• Use appropriate tools, test equipment, and report defective or poorly functioning equipment to the supervisor.
• Ensure that the shop is clean and tidy.
• Perform other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.
Qualifications:
• Experience as an apprentice in the automotive industry is an asset
• Registration with the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities will be required
• Valid Ontario G driver’s license
• Clean Driver’s Abstract

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking a full-time licensed automotive technician to join our busy service department.
The Automotive Service Technician performs all vehicle Warranty and non-Warranty inspection, diagnostic, maintenance and repair work efficiently and competently to Dealership standards. The technician is also responsible for installing accessories and performing vehicle pre-delivery inspections and preparation work. The Technician is required to maintain current product knowledge and service needs as prescribed in technical bulletins, manuals, and training programs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned
• Diagnose the source of any malfunctions and perform the repair
• Qualify all vehicles for warranty coverage prior to performing warranty repairs
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Perform road tests using safe driving standards
Qualifications:
• Strong product knowledge
• Strong aptitude of technical/mechanical repairs
• Good time management skills
• Organizational ability and attention to detail
• Ideally, two (2) years minimum in a technician position
• General Dealership experience preferred

BODY SHOP TECHNICIAN

Be responsible for providing a quality repair to align with our best in class customer experience. They will meticulously assess and complete quality repairs of each customer’s vehicle to restore it back to pre-accident condition using industry leading equipment, knowledge and training.

• You are physically capable of doing the job which includes frequently bending, crouching, reaching. You are also able to handle tools and lift approximately 50lbs.
